Dr. Donnenfeld is the Co-Director of the Cornea Department at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset, New York, and Co-Director of the External Disease/ Cornea Department at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, New York, New York. He is the Surgical Director of the Lions Eye Bank for Long Island at the North Shore University Hospital and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at New York University Medical College.
Dr. Donnenfeld has been one of the principal investigators of the Excimer Laser Study for Corneal Disease at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. In addition, he has written over 70 scientific papers and books on corneal disease and refractive surgery. Dr. Donnenfeld has delivered lectures throughout the United States and abroad on refractive surgery and is considered a international authority on the subject.
TRAINING: Dr. Stein received his B.S. from Cornell University and his M.D. from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at a combined program in the New York University Medical Center and the Manhattan, Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He completed his Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He is Board Certified in Ophthalmology.
LASIK EXPERIENCE: Dr. Stein completed a specialized year in training devoted to corneal disease and Refractive Surgery. He has cared for thousands of refractive surgery patients and routinely lectures on the topic. He has written multiple scientific papers and continuously edits the literature produced by his colleagues. He has presented his research on refractive surgery in many national and international meetings.
MEMBERSHIPS: Dr. Stein is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the New York University School of Medicine. He is an Instructor in the NYU Department of Ophthalmology and in the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He teaches and trains other clinicians in refractive surgery as well as other ophthalmic surgical techniques. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Goldstein is Clinical Director of TLC Laser Eye Center in Fairfield, CT., and President of Rocky Hill Eye Associates, P.C.
Michael P. Goldstein, O.D., is a graduate from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. During his schooling in Boston, Dr. Goldstein performed research at Boston University Department of Ophthalmology, where he had research papers published in well respected medical journals.
After acquiring a degree in Advanced Optometric Care, Dr. Goldstein purchased and became President of Rocky Hill Eye Associates, P.C. He is currently a member of the Connecticut Association of Optometrists, and College of Optometrists in Visual Development
